Ryan Cartwright

Ryan recently joined FDC as Investment Manager to support deal origination for the MEIF II.

Ryan started his career in Commercial Lending 17 years ago with NatWest Bank in Staffordshire, managing SME’s with revenues up to £25m. After 10 years he moved to the Growth Hub and Chamber of Commerce before getting back into direct lending with a Factoring business in Birmingham.  

In 2019, Ryan became UK Network Manager for the British Business Bank covering the West Midlands region. This role allowed him to support businesses with a range of financial and non-financial guidance and signposting. After 3 years he joined the FSE Group delivering the first Midlands Engine Investment Fund and really enjoyed cashflow lending as a solution to business growth.  

Dad to 2 young boys, his non-working life revolves around football. “As a family, we like to go for long walks in the park, bike rides, swimming, playing board games and when I don’t have the kids, I love nothing more than sitting in a beer garden with my partner, Lucy.”
